Future developments

The politics of education has shifted radically over the last five years. Larger schools and multi-academy trusts are gaining more leverage and the associated influence which goes with their size.

The Danes Educational Trust will not grow and expand too quickly and lose sight of the core business of providing outstanding education for all the students within the Trust’s schools.  We want to grow to be large enough to reap the benefits of centralised services, but small enough to maintain our core values and high outcomes. Received wisdom suggests that a multi-academy trust with a blend of secondary schools and primary schools is the optimal model for this. Joining the Trust gives the advantage of being able to draw on the extensive infrastructure and wide ranging expertise found in its business, finance and HR services. It is essential that the growth of the Danes Educational Trust is carefully planned and timed to ensure that high educational outcomes are maintained throughout the growth phase.
