School improvement

There are opportunities for school improvement in all schools, even including those judged to be outstanding. Working ‘beyond outstanding’, our Trust researches what makes a difference and then implements programmes that ensure ‘marginal gains’ which, overall, have a significant impact on student outcomes.

We are able to enhance the experience for schools and their staff in terms of professional development, both within a single school and across schools within the Trust. Research shows that this offering is attractive in both recruiting and retaining high calibre staff.

The collaboration model will allow exciting curriculum developments within primary schools who join the Trust, using the subject expertise from the secondary phase schools in subjects such as science, technology, music and languages to help these areas develop and flourish. In turn, through cross phase work, the secondary schools will gain insights from the primary schools regarding effective transition that does not lose the learning momentum.

Individual students’ learning needs will be met and continue to be addressed as they move seamlessly from one phase to another. As more secondary schools join the Trust, even greater opportunities for collaboration will exist within this phase to improve outcomes.
