ECT and ITT celebratory event

Posted on: 01/09/2022

We were delighted to welcome over 70 colleagues to our Early Career Teacher (ECT) and Initial Teacher Trainee (ITT) celebratory event of 17 June 2022 at Hunton Park Hotel.

The day provided an opportunity for our extraordinary Class of ‘22 to consolidate their training which began in either September 2020 or 2021, together and within the beautiful surroundings of Hunton Park on what was the hottest day of the year so far.

Comprising ‘bitesize’ sessions led by a range of pedagogical and assessment experts drawn from across our Hertfordshire and Buckinghamshire Hubs and including the opportunity to meet with and listen to our wonderful Danes Educational Trust Learner Voice Council students, the day was an absolute joy.

These are colleagues who chose to ‘train to teach’ during what have been possibly the most challenging circumstances ever faced by the education sector. To see their engagement, to hear their feedback (‘I’m having such a great day!’) and to experience their resilience ‘live’ was a humbling privilege for all our ECF Leads. We look forward to welcoming our new Class of ‘23 cohort to all of our Partnership schools on 1 September 2022 and hope you enjoy the photos which follow here…
